Anyone watch the new G.I. Joe cartoon? It looks really GRRREAT! Parts 1-4 have me wanting more... this is exactly what I wanted from a live action movie however Hollywood completely screwed up the idea of G.I. Joe with what they are putting out- sure I have only seen the trailer for the movie however that is enough to know it isn't the G.I. Joe I grew up with. G.I. Joe was all about individuals unique characters that wear sometimes silly and unpractical "costumes" into battle... GI Joe was never about the team wearing matching uniforms. I know I am the one who will rag on people who think their clothes is a reflection of their personality and on people who think they are non-conformist because they want to dress up all punk or emo or whatever when in fact they are conforming to an image that they see on TV or in a mag... It is funny to me how they look like everyone else in their group but yet thing they are different because their next-door neighbor never heard of the obscure band they listen too. Well anyway I like the village people concept of G.I. Joe sure I want it a little less clownish and a little more military in my old age (which the new cartoon captures perfectly) then I wanted it in my youth- just with out the neon... the "here shoot me, I am wearing bright Red or Yellow or Green Neon so you can see me" was really really bad even when I was 12 in 1992.
